Courmayeur is highly appreciated by those who love to do many things because in addition to sport and nature it is possible to have fun in a thousand ways!

In the main street, the historic via Roma, during the day there are trendy shops for yours Shopping and plenty of cafes and bars for breakfasts and snacks while in the evening the nightlife explodes with pub, restaurants e street party (i.e. parties outside the venue), with music and cocktails under the stars.

SPORTS LIFE IS THE BEST!

The Courmayeur ski area offers a wide choice of slopes and off-piste. 

Having different exposures to the east and north in any weather condition, there is always a series of excellent slopes for the descent.

If it didn't snow enough, thanks to millions of euros invested every year on lifts, snow cannons and slope improvements, skiing is always guaranteed.

Practice skiing and snowboarding it is possible starting directly from the village thanks to 3 lifts (Checrouit cableway from Courmayeur center, skyway cableway from Entreves and a third from Dolonne.

For all other sports there is the fantastic Forum Sport Center: 

a spectacular indoor sports facility where you will find many activities: gym, tennis, table tennis, squash, soccer, ice skating all year round, climbing wall, modern dance, spinning, pilates, golf and curling.

Courmayeur historic center:

Mountain style houses, narrow streets all around the main street full of cafes and shops. 

Via Roma is the pulsating center of Courmayeur.

A romantic town, especially when the walk is in the evening with the soft lights of the street lamps and the snow-capped mountains that shine under the rays of the moon.

Do not miss:

Admire the view that you can enjoy from Abbè Henry Square and take some nice pictures.

visit the Alpine Museum Duke of Abruzzi, a few steps from Piazza Abbè Henry, for mountaineering and non-mountaineering enthusiasts, where you can admire the finds of the conquests of Courmayeur's mountain guides all over the world from the North Pole to the Himalayas.

when it comes to Pantaleone Church, from the first half of the eighteenth century, you can admire an altar carved in a single block of stone, a beautiful wooden crucifix, an ex voto on canvas from 1704 and an organ with excellent acoustics used for summer concerts.

visit the Malluquin tower only remnant of the fourteenth-century Malluquin castle. It is in Piazza Petigax, now home to exhibitions, the ancient measures used in the Aosta Valley are engraved on the outside.

you can take a tour of Shopping in the shops of the center, where you will find many famous brands and taste something in the countless cafes, bars, pastry shops and ice cream parlors.

relax at Park Stamp, ideal for a stopover while admiring the surrounding landscape. The park is clean and well maintained with drinking fountains, neat walkways and public restrooms, there are many green spaces where you will see people engaging in various yoga and fitness activities. The route starts from Via Roma and continues upwards where there is an area with fun games for children, with pulleys and buildings on which to climb.


Ithe Courmayeur Mountain Cinema (Palanoir) is a pleasant alternative on days when the weather is not at its best. Watch a movie in its two rooms with 434 and 120 seats with comfortable armchairs and covered parking (for a fee). What to do in the evening in Courmayeur

Courmayer has the lively nightlife of a town full of tourists 10 months a year!

 

Not just classic discos like THE CLUB Courmayeur, the largest connected to the Milanese nightlife (same management of the place of the same name), the Club House 80's is an elegant chalet in the town center, ideal for drinks and music, but also places where drinks and music are the main ingredients for your aperitifs such as  Le Prive cocktail bar open until 2 am.

 

Almost all the nightlife, which lasts until dawn, is concentrated in the main street, via Roma, where many clubs organize street party ie outdoor music. 

The street turns into a big nightclub every night where fun winds through Courmayeur with music, laughter and dancing under the starry sky and the mountains.

Aperitif, Apres Sky, Apericena

Shortly after the closure of the lifts Courmayer lights up. You can enjoy anything from spritz to champagne, but maybe you should try a glass of Mont Blanc wine: the Blanc de Morgex et de la Salle, directly from one of the highest vineyards in Europe!

Among the best known places for the Apres Sky is Bar Rome in the center, on two floors with buffet aperitifs and that in the evening for the younger ones it offers disco music; or the Post coffee, historic place, very popular with over 30s. For those who want more tranquility, the Cafè Relais de l'Ange, elegant and refined.

 

Still in via Roma, at 43 we find theAmerican Bar where, in addition to dinners including pizza, burgers and crepes, you can enjoy aperitifs and herbal teas or sip beer, wines, grappa and cocktails.

Where to eat in Courmayeur

There are many places to have lunch or dinner in Courmayeur, we offer you some of different types, with fish cuisine, Aosta Valley cuisine, pizza and sandwiches, just to give you an idea.

If you love starred restaurants, this is defined in the Michelin guide as "traditional recipes with a pinch of imagination". In the center of Courmayeur it serves both fish and meat.
